Rags A Go Go new store front

This is hands down the very best art barter to have ever crossed my path. My dear friend, Joshua Suzanne came to me asking if I could figure out how to make her store stand out a bit more. The problem was mainly that she couldn't paint the front of her rather drab building. The solution was a removable panelized mural that would store in the gated door way when the store was closed so as not to attract off hour tagging, that, and a funky new awning front panel. I did it on a lark, happy to help and get out a few days of painting yah yahs. She dug it so much that she shelled out all the dough necessary to send me all expense paid to Burning Man, which by the way has changed my universe.

Rags A Go Go great stuff for small bread!

Great prices. Great selection. Hot fashion picks from the 60's, 70's and 80's. With more that 20 years in vintage clothing, Joshua Suzanne is a New York fashion fixture.

Rags A Go Go HERE!!!

"HERE" means 218 west 14th street between 7th and 8th avenue, NYC, on the south side of the street.

Many fun paint moments and brightly colored geometric tangents.

Rags A Go Go where the earth meets the earth

Rags A Go Go new store front design

This is the finished design. I changed some things as I went but, this served as the basic template. We had a bunch of ideas but, in the end I went with this. First and foremost it had to be fun and inviting and oingo boingo colorful. It had to have a green message, a recycle and help the earth sort of thing. It had to have stars because not only is Joshua Suzanne a star (as far as I'm concerned. Check out her video channel!!!) but, she follows astrological charts. She's also built like a super hero so I wanted a taste of Wonder Woman/Captain America to it and, while on the topic of America, I wanted the good old USA front and center. This is an American Store, run by an American chick selling mostly American stuff right "HERE" in America.
